.Tue, 6/5/07 6:46 PMMore options on homepage. Less graphics, no scrolling.
.Tue, 6/5/07 6:48 PMNo it looks fine and very easy to use.
.Tue, 6/5/07 6:50 PMNo, It looks very inviting.

.Tue, 6/5/07 6:53 PM.
.Tue, 6/5/07 6:54 PMAdd specific department links as a quicklink guide on the initial home page
.Tue, 6/5/07 6:56 PMEmployment opportunities should list the RA position in the fall and spring semester as there are two periods of the year when RAs are hired. Work study positions should also be listed on the employment section. I did not see a student portal. Under such a portal students would have links to financial aid, schedule, final exam schedule, e-mail etc. On all pages if there is a listing of offices/programs etc under certain headings, if the link is two lines of text the second line should be be left justified but indented as its confusing to read.
.Tue, 6/5/07 6:59 PMNope
.Tue, 6/5/07 7:00 PMno
.Tue, 6/5/07 7:00 PMDitch the sound on the splash screen - it gets old very quickly.
.Tue, 6/5/07 7:01 PMno
.Tue, 6/5/07 7:02 PMSince it is still in process, I would assume that more changes are coming.
.Tue, 6/5/07 7:05 PMnone
.Tue, 6/5/07 7:06 PMI didn't realize ADA compliance was a concern for the web. I am not disabled so I answered not important to me. Thanks.
.Tue, 6/5/07 7:07 PMthere might be too many links to choose from but I am glad to see Mitchell updating its web site- I was disappointed this past winter in the lack of news and had to rely on the New London Day to give me news and information I thought could and should have been handled by the website.
.Tue, 6/5/07 7:08 PMA place to request your pass word
.Tue, 6/5/07 7:09 PMYeah, let me in!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
.Tue, 6/5/07 7:13 PMNo
.Tue, 6/5/07 7:14 PMNot that I can think of.
.Tue, 6/5/07 7:16 PMcleaner, more defined navigation, flash not necessary
.Tue, 6/5/07 7:17 PMThere are too many links. It would look much cleaner with dropdown menus. The inconsistant font is annoying and the yellow on the Current Students page is horrible.
.Tue, 6/5/07 7:17 PMThere is a lot going on in the design that isn't really necessary. The animated gif in the top banner logo is distracting (It flips too quickly. If that element makes the final cut it should be a smooth transition between images). You have a scrolling element for news items that directs attention ot that part of the site. An animated logo isn't neceassary. There is a ton of content that is offered on the site, but you have alotted just tiny areas per page to display that information. The rest of the pages are cluttered with images, header logos, and a poorly layed out navigation structure.
.Tue, 6/5/07 7:20 PMOne thing that I feel will be annoying to a user is the wave sound, which grates on the ears. The waves imply ocean, versus river, which is our site more accurately. This "feature" ought to be reconsidered seriously.
.Tue, 6/5/07 7:26 PMNothing. To me, it's good!
.Tue, 6/5/07 7:33 PMnot right now

.Tue, 6/5/07 7:38 PMDepartment organizational charts, student logon to get to email, folders, course schedule, grades, etc...
.Tue, 6/5/07 7:40 PMAs a VP of Marketing for a national consumer brand I believe that the image created by all your visual marketing should be consistent with your brand. In the case of Mitchell, my impression of the brand has always been that you were the Ivy League of Junior Colleges (no Bachelors Degrees offered in 1964) My comments then are less based on content and more on visual merchandising. The part of your site that I found most consistent with this brand image was your General Public and Visitors page and to a lesser degree your Current Student and Faculty page. The colors chosen for the backgrounds of both the Future Students and Families and Alumni and Friends was too gaudy for an institution of higher learning to me. I did not like the Mitchell name over the map on the title banner but really liked you new logo treatment. Please accept the comments above in the constructive spirit they were offered. John Woolsey, VP Marketing, Anderson Hardwood Floors.
.Tue, 6/5/07 7:42 PMNot that I can think of offhand. I visited the web site as a parent, then as a potential student, just to see if I could access the info I wanted in each case. I could, and I think the site is very well designed and laid out.
.Tue, 6/5/07 7:45 PMa better athletics web site
.Tue, 6/5/07 7:51 PMwhen on the campus map and you click on the number then a picture should be shown of the building
.Tue, 6/5/07 7:57 PMThe yellow background is so embaressing. It makes the college look like a pre-school. There are no current/ updated pictures. It's such false advertising. The layout is soooo much better than the old website. It feels like it may actually apply to me and be able to help me now. Just things like a campus map are an inmprovment.
.Tue, 6/5/07 8:09 PMNo.
.Tue, 6/5/07 8:13 PMMore department links
.Tue, 6/5/07 8:24 PMOverall I like it alot, It has a lot more ease of use than the old page
.Tue, 6/5/07 8:25 PMUse larger fonts, it just appeared a bit too busy and not so user-friendly.
.Tue, 6/5/07 8:27 PMno
.Tue, 6/5/07 8:34 PMnot at this time
.Tue, 6/5/07 8:35 PMMore photos of the campus would probably be helpful in attracting students.
.Tue, 6/5/07 8:38 PMYes. First the overall look and feel of the site is great. Excellent job! However, there are some points that I feel necessary to mention: 1) Some of the people in the images are not working or teaching at Mitchell anymore! 2) None of the images has alternative text. There are some visually impaired students who cannot see the images. 3) No author is mentioned, and no description is provided for some topics. 4) No date and time of last update is available. 5) A description of the general layout of the site, the site map, is needed. 6) The sizing and positioning of images don't look relative. 7) Using tab instead of mouse should be easy to jump to different topics; the tabbing doesn't seem to be in order (at least on the main page). 8) Navigability is another important issue. If possible, maybe you can add a navigation tool bar for all links in the site. Thanks.
.Tue, 6/5/07 8:44 PMno
.Tue, 6/5/07 8:45 PMuse newer pictures, have each page more balanced (instead of having all information go straigt down the page, have information on both the right and left sides of some pages)
.Tue, 6/5/07 9:03 PMnone
.Tue, 6/5/07 9:03 PMMore scores and updates of athletic teams.
.Tue, 6/5/07 9:04 PMI find the web site very busy and the colors overpowering at times.
.Tue, 6/5/07 9:08 PMRecommend revising the new homepage concept. The image of the man with the sunglasses is reminiscent of the "Terminator" movie, could be seen as threatening not cool. Your idea of combining different visual elements that show slices of college life is sound but somehow the composition is uneven and the images seem to compete with each other.
.Tue, 6/5/07 9:24 PMnavigation bar for quick access on the top of the website to information to academicss, athletics, student life and faculty/staff.
.Tue, 6/5/07 9:25 PMno
.Tue, 6/5/07 9:26 PMJust a more updated view of people at college
.Tue, 6/5/07 9:34 PMno
.Tue, 6/5/07 9:49 PMI think the gold background is quite bland looking and uninviting. There is a black section on either side of the gold page center which doesn't look good. Website page should be full screen size and nice color schemes. A couple of the links I hit brought me back to old website format. Hopefully the entire website will be in new format. I would like to see the Mitchell College (with lighthouse for the "I") at the top of the page. Again, the "Mitchell with ocean chart background" is old and it makes sense to revamp the entire site. And last but certainly not least, as a coach I would like to have access to my team's information page so I can add/change/update player profiles, achievements, team pictures from competitions/events etc....
.Tue, 6/5/07 9:49 PMno imput at the present time.
.Tue, 6/5/07 9:49 PMno
.Tue, 6/5/07 9:52 PMI would like to see updated pictures. Not pictures that have been on the old website. This would give students who want to come to Mitchell an opporunity to grow. It would gve a good feeling to those students a better places to live and learn.
.Tue, 6/5/07 10:00 PMSee question 12 (above)

.Tue, 6/5/07 10:23 PMonly when the roster comes out for sports teams to have them updated with pictures of members
.Tue, 6/5/07 10:50 PMNo....looks great!
.Tue, 6/5/07 11:00 PMNeed more time once it's complete to review thoroughly. Very nice job thus far.

.Tue, 6/5/07 11:49 PMmore about athletic alumni
.Tue, 6/5/07 11:53 PMNo
.Wed, 6/6/07 12:09 AMNo. Looks fine to me.
.Wed, 6/6/07 12:11 AMno
.Wed, 6/6/07 12:29 AMI think that the website looks very good. The only thing that I did not like was the info/news scrolling on the right hand side of the screen. I wish there was a way to stop it from scrolling.
.Wed, 6/6/07 12:34 AMMost colleges/university websites have a heading/direct link for there athletic programs, you might want to consider that. This is very important for the potential student/athlete who could be searching on the web looking for schools that have a program in there area of expertise.
.Wed, 6/6/07 12:44 AMmake it easy to naviagte the site, simplpfy the items the pages appear to clutterd
.Wed, 6/6/07 12:54 AMEverything's fine
.Wed, 6/6/07 12:54 AMThe homepage is user friendly - it is easy to identify which "category" I fit into (i.s. Current Student / Faculty). However, once inside this section there is too much text and not enough graphics. The information is organized well, but poorly presented. I suggest including navigational pictures for each major heading that make the page more user friendly. I was really turned off by all of the text on the page.
.Wed, 6/6/07 12:55 AMAlso, there are too many competing graphic/flash treatments-- its overwhelming and takes away a degree of sophistication and the beauty of the campus. I didnt feel this way when I looked at it, it was almost stressful because too much was going on. I strongly recommend that the first page have a more welcoming simple clean graphic focus rather than trying to make it show everything in layering that is behind that first page and ultimately what needs to be translated about Mitchell. (this is why there are subsequent pages) There are way too many textures going on for the first page-- this page should be clean with an interesting background and one sound not two or with the spinning compass. While I understand the goal you were trying to achieve, the ocean sound conflicts with the bell and probably would be better if put into the flash area behind the bottom where the sailboats are. Pick something consistant for the wallpaper-- right now you have nautical symbols, a map, square grids, photos and competing with it "the view from a students eyes through his sunglasses" Its a very cool concept but it gets lost in everything else and probably would be very cool to split up some of these layers to subsequent pages. I also suggest cropping the sailboat photo to get rid of the ugly industrial view. Go crazy with photo imagery on subsequent pages where appropriate to the category it addresses.
.Wed, 6/6/07 1:10 AMNo I don't think that this time their is any changes that need to be made.
.Wed, 6/6/07 1:12 AMno

.Wed, 6/6/07 1:43 AMna
.Wed, 6/6/07 1:53 AMno everything looks good
.Wed, 6/6/07 1:54 AMdefinetly new ways to register for classes and such, as it is at times hard to meet with you advisor during the times they have availible.
.Wed, 6/6/07 2:09 AMno i wouldn't make any changes in the features of the new site.
.Wed, 6/6/07 2:13 AMA "back" button
.Wed, 6/6/07 2:22 AMno
.Wed, 6/6/07 2:26 AMNo
.Wed, 6/6/07 2:37 AMeasier log in for alumni
.Wed, 6/6/07 2:37 AMHave a place were employment opportunities are posted. (Other than teaching positions.)
.Wed, 6/6/07 3:16 AMno but maybe make it easier to look up alumni
.Wed, 6/6/07 5:09 AMNO
.Wed, 6/6/07 11:25 AMNeedless to say, I'd like to see an Alumni Page and more of the sections up and running. Other than that I think it looks great.
.Wed, 6/6/07 11:40 AMupdated calendar of events...clear topics with alumini area
.Wed, 6/6/07 11:41 AMThe home page almost seemed like it had too many graphics...like it was too busy.
.Wed, 6/6/07 11:45 AMquick links within the menu selections
.Wed, 6/6/07 12:06 PMCleaner, more concise, easily linked to each department, similar to competitive college sites. Each department page should list program specifics; introduction, degrees, majors, concentrations, minors, required courses to fulfill, faculty bios, course desription links.
.Wed, 6/6/07 12:11 PMNot that I can think of.....
.Wed, 6/6/07 12:39 PMI found the scrolling of news and events on every screen to be very annoying. The college where I went to graduate school scrolls news and events on the home page and the News and Events page only. Once I read it I don't need to see it again on every page I access.
.Wed, 6/6/07 1:02 PMno its pretty good
.Wed, 6/6/07 1:06 PMno
.Wed, 6/6/07 1:17 PMNo
.Wed, 6/6/07 1:19 PMOverall design and layout
.Wed, 6/6/07 1:41 PMI love the new format and the ease of use to access needed information. Great design!! The old site was clever, but too difficult to navigate. In the new site, everything must be updated, including faculty bios and new course information. Overall, a great job! Another solid indication that Mitchell College is on the move and heading in the right direction!!
.Wed, 6/6/07 1:48 PMNo additional changes are requested. Ann
.Wed, 6/6/07 2:00 PMhave fraternity's and soriotys
.Wed, 6/6/07 2:16 PMSince the site is underconstruction, it's obvious that there are many changes and revisions to be made (i.e. listing East Winds as a residence hall, no mention of NCAA D-3 affiliation, etc.). It will be very important to have accurate and current information on the website.
.Wed, 6/6/07 2:22 PMno
.Wed, 6/6/07 2:25 PMnone
.Wed, 6/6/07 2:35 PMno
.Wed, 6/6/07 2:36 PMget rid of the old pictures. There are faculty that are no longer on campus. Bring the old pictures up to date.
.Wed, 6/6/07 2:39 PMna
.Wed, 6/6/07 2:54 PMPhotos need to be clear
.Wed, 6/6/07 3:03 PMI think that it is essential to have the content reviewed. There are obvious instances of outdated information; omitted information, and poor choices of language appearing on the current site. Otherwise - VERY good job.
.Wed, 6/6/07 3:07 PMNo
.Wed, 6/6/07 3:18 PMNot at this time
.Wed, 6/6/07 3:19 PMno not at this moment.
.Wed, 6/6/07 4:11 PMemail me (charles.lanfair@thehartford.com ) an id/pw.
.Wed, 6/6/07 4:12 PMMake the search far more prominent. Otherwise, it's irritating to try to wade through all the pieces. Put academic affairs in EVERY area, including decision making concerning them. I was told a Curriculum Committee site would be present on this "new" website. The content included in this sample is out-of-date and grossly inaccurate. That MUST be changed. The order of items in a list from which people choose makes no sense. You need help from those (chairs, department heads, etc.) who need their information found to determine what the order should be. Faculty web pages make sense. Posted curriculum vitae (especially for those who do not have doctorates) do not. Neither do course syllabi. They are available to the people who need them on faculty links under shared documents (or should be). Who answers "Ask a Question?" Doing this poorly is worse than not including it at all. Chats and blogs are trendy and may result in inaccurate information for which the entire college will then be responsible. Copying a brochure (such as under Thames Academy) looks cheap and functions poorly. You can't even click on pages to move through that document. The zoom feature worked terribly. Burying the tuition, fees, and room and board costs does not help us. It irritates parents looking for answers. This seems to be a current common practice, but having just experienced it myself on other educational institutions, it's irritating enough to turn educated individuals AGAINST an institution that follows the practice. These pieces of "Academics" are critical and must be easy to find and use: Programs of study for certificates, associate degrees and bachelor degrees (please be careful of the degree and department titles--Criminal Justice is not the current name of that department and we do not have Early Childhood Education degrees because of state requirements). Talk to new chairs. Current catalog with easy to locate course descriptions. Current and upcoming semester course schedules. Please do not make us the kind of college that relies on glitz to get students. We want serious students whose parents believe they are well informed by the college. That's what the website is for even in it's recruiting purposes.
.Wed, 6/6/07 4:18 PMfor the campus map the names are too small - esp trapped in the dark background - even tho they are highlithed remember parents don't have the keen eyes of the young
.Wed, 6/6/07 4:36 PMno
.Wed, 6/6/07 4:39 PMSee above.
.Wed, 6/6/07 4:52 PMAs mentioned above the backgrounds and text that are yellow and red combinations can be harder on the eyes.
.Wed, 6/6/07 5:47 PMSite menu down the left side.
.Wed, 6/6/07 6:40 PMno
.Wed, 6/6/07 6:49 PMNot really computer savvy enough to comment.
.Wed, 6/6/07 7:17 PMmaybe a link to what the dormitories on campus looks like and what room size is like so people would know what it is like like they see it and also the building structure and photo of whole upper campus.
.Wed, 6/6/07 7:20 PMMore photos of the nice scenery, especially the beachfront area, which is attractive. More action photos of sports. A better photo spread on athletics. More photos of the physical plant, e.g., cafe, auditorium, labs, classrooms, library, etc. I remember Mitchell as a nice-looking school. Present it this way to others.
.Wed, 6/6/07 7:24 PMIt was hard to answer some of the questions because many times the information was not there and it said, "Coming Soon." In the Academic Section there are a lot of changes that need to be made. For example, under each department there are majors listed that are not majors but concentrations that sudents can focus on. Also not all the departments are listed. Some are combined under other departments. I like the overall look of the website. It is a great start!
.Wed, 6/6/07 8:49 PMA link to the professors pages and updated information on a daily basis about the campuses progress.
.Wed, 6/6/07 9:01 PMno
.Wed, 6/6/07 9:28 PMNO
.Wed, 6/6/07 10:42 PMI'm sort of confused as to how I (as a MC student) would access my email account.
.Wed, 6/6/07 11:06 PMNo
.Wed, 6/6/07 11:13 PMYes I think you should put actual Mitchell College students on the site I only see Mo White and the President and no real students at all...
.Wed, 6/6/07 11:25 PMNo.
.Thu, 6/7/07 12:20 PMNo
.Thu, 6/7/07 1:39 PMIn my opinion the pages are too long. I think it would be easier to navigate if you doubled or tripled the columns on the main pages so visitors don't have to scroll down so far. Other than that the format and graphics are nice and the info is informative.
.Thu, 6/7/07 2:00 PMAlumni and student info to stay connected
.Thu, 6/7/07 3:23 PMIt needs to be simplified and made easier to navigate and read. I don't think that for Mitchell having the four arenas of access is really necessary, it seems kind of redundant.
.Thu, 6/7/07 3:40 PMNo
.Thu, 6/7/07 6:10 PM>Make the home page less distracting. >Highlight homepage headlines ('Current students', Alum...', etc. >Make the phone number/contact info. more 'visible' on screen. >Either color-code different topics/pages, or add photos: for example, on the library page, put in photo(s) of the library!..for sports, photo(s) of team(s) in action...> >Possibly alphabetize topics for ease of navigation. >Add bird cries (terns, seagulls) to opening sound track?! :-)
.Thu, 6/7/07 6:51 PMNot at this time.
.Thu, 6/7/07 8:04 PMyes, the pictures in the glasses
.Thu, 6/7/07 8:34 PMno
.Thu, 6/7/07 9:39 PMThe colors when you go from the home page to various landing pages are a bit jarring, particularly the red. Also - since the other landing pages are so colorful, why not make the general public pages green or purple or anything other than black? The new site is just a tad too busy, but overall pretty good.
.Thu, 6/7/07 11:06 PMNo, the model is impressive.
.Fri, 6/8/07 12:26 AMPlease, on the opening page, the guy with the sun glasses and the nose. Lord, who wants to look at anyone's deep pores what are you thinking? Save this picture for the health center website. Sincerely, Connie Sproul Bonarigo 1992 Former Human Resources & Marketing Director for Phoenix Home Life, GSO, NC
.Fri, 6/8/07 12:32 AMno
.Fri, 6/8/07 1:03 AMwill wait until it's completed
.Fri, 6/8/07 12:19 PMNot really, I feel that it has all the basics that every student would need
.Fri, 6/8/07 5:40 PMNo
.Sat, 6/9/07 2:11 AMI would add more to the link for the bookstore with more info.I think they could also make the cite make it easy for people to find what they need to look up easily so if you don't have a lot of time you can find the info quickly.
.Sat, 6/9/07 2:10 PMI would ahve to spend more time looking through the site to proide you with answers on this subject. However, I did notice that there was no link to "athletics" in the area of "general public and vistors". If I were tryng to attract people to the school I would use everything i had to offer in order to do just that. Why not add "athletics" under the section, "general public and vistors"? It seems to be a big part of the school.
.Sat, 6/9/07 4:25 PMPossibly a feature of showing/viewing your academic class schedule and how many credits are obtain and the status of when you can complete your graduation
.Sat, 6/9/07 7:17 PMNo
.Sat, 6/9/07 11:57 PM.
.Mon, 6/11/07 12:58 AMNo
.Mon, 6/11/07 3:00 PMmore current events
.Mon, 6/11/07 4:30 PMNo, It looks good.
.Mon, 6/11/07 6:10 PMnot that i can think of.
.Mon, 6/11/07 6:49 PMMore frequent news updates on the progrssion of the campus.
.Tue, 6/12/07 12:27 AMnot as many pics
.Tue, 6/12/07 4:58 PMThe site needs to be WAY less flashy. If you think that 'flashy = attractive to potential students', I would recommend reconsidering and looking at the usability literature more carefully. Also, although I didn't run the page through a validator for WC3 standards, I am willing to bet that it would not pass. I would say the same thing (even more so) for an accessibility validator. For one thing, the one page I chose at random to look at the code, there was no parser. Some of the pages are layed out with tables, which cases problems for some text readers. It is somewhat surprising that a college with a mission to reach students with diverse abilities, has a Website that violates much of the standards for universal accessibility.
.Tue, 6/12/07 10:48 PMI don't care for the 'news' crawl in the upper right corner. It's too distracting.
.Wed, 6/13/07 1:47 PMemergency planning must be added
.Wed, 6/13/07 1:49 PMno
.Wed, 6/13/07 2:02 PMThe search feature seems to search a Q & A database, not the site as a whole...that seems odd. Wouldn't a search for say "Admissions" yeild a link to Admissions info, contacts, application, etc?...and this comments applies to all searches, naturally.
.Wed, 6/13/07 2:15 PMtighter design, different pictures on each page
.Wed, 6/13/07 2:16 PMno
.Wed, 6/13/07 2:20 PMNope...the site is fine jus the way it is.
.Wed, 6/13/07 4:01 PMMore pictures of around campus, more pictures of the actual campus, examples of syllabi
.Wed, 6/13/07 4:35 PMnope
.Wed, 6/13/07 4:44 PMI would remove the address block from the middle-right of each page so there's more room for central information and less scrolling up and down. I would also make the top section of each page smaller so that you don't have to scroll down every time you follow a link to a new page.
.Wed, 6/13/07 5:17 PM-Make the first page less busy; reduce the number of visual / sound effects. Area pages: -Remove the moving News/Events part from all area pages- it distracts attention from the main content. -Remove the top left picture (next to the menu), as it pushes the main text down. To read the main text requires scrolling down, which is not very user friendly - Position the top menu horizontally; make the menu font/ style different from the rest of the text on the page. -Change the background to white (at least in the text areas)
.Wed, 6/13/07 5:36 PMwill need to review the completed web site
.Wed, 6/13/07 5:44 PMAfter the homepage, I found the movement of the changing pictures in the top-of-page banner distracting since there is also the continuous scrolling just beneath it.
.Wed, 6/13/07 6:36 PMAdd a dividing bar between the permanent top and the changing topics below.
.Wed, 6/13/07 6:42 PMDefinitely need a search feature. Dislike the opening page. It is too busy with pictures.
.Wed, 6/13/07 7:45 PMI can't think of anything that should be added at this point.
.Wed, 6/13/07 8:31 PMI think that the sunglasses on the main page are a little scary. I do enjoy the constant photos and scrolling information.
.Wed, 6/13/07 8:32 PMNothing at all. looks great
.Wed, 6/13/07 9:10 PMi dont like that when you go to any of the main sites, you see a screan lenght blank color. It make it look like the page has not finished loading or that there is not enough informantion on that page. You have to scrool so much to actually get the information. why not just have the info right there and not scrool down at all.
.Wed, 6/13/07 9:29 PMNO
.Thu, 6/14/07 1:02 AMupdate sports scored daily with stats on games and points
.Thu, 6/14/07 2:12 AMI would like to see it when completed
.Thu, 6/14/07 3:12 AMn/a
.Thu, 6/14/07 1:32 PMThe rushing water is a bit annoying.
.Thu, 6/14/07 1:43 PMI would suggest putting a link for obtaining transcripts on the Current Student page also. I didn't like the red background (made it more difficult to read the page). I think the course syllabi should be accessed through the faculty pages (easier to update on a semester basis).
.Thu, 6/14/07 1:55 PMupdated info on faculty/departments
.Thu, 6/14/07 2:58 PMhighlight the MCCLC more on the initial home page
.Thu, 6/14/07 4:28 PMMore daily info. for the CLC
.Thu, 6/14/07 4:35 PMThere are too many words on each page. The amount of writing means the font must be smaller, and size makes it more difficult to read. There should never be writing all the way to the bottom of the page as it is on the Learning Resource page. It makes it seem as if the entry is cut off so you go looking for the next page of text.
.Thu, 6/14/07 6:15 PMi think that you should have pictures of the current students who are going to Mitchell now.
.Thu, 6/14/07 7:10 PMJust that my currant password and sign in name stay the same.
.Fri, 6/15/07 2:28 PMno

.Sun, 6/17/07 12:47 PMNo
.Mon, 6/18/07 1:34 AMNo the website seems fine and easy the way it is now. Maybe more pictures would be nice.
.Tue, 6/19/07 2:08 AMno
.Tue, 6/19/07 2:21 PMNO
.Tue, 6/19/07 3:09 PMI think the new students would like to see pictures of daily goings-on at mitchell and current students. I know I would!
.Tue, 6/19/07 5:42 PMnot at the moment
.Tue, 6/19/07 6:11 PMNone come to mind at the moment
.Wed, 6/20/07 2:03 AMMore info on the Children's Learning Center or an additional link to access the area so that we parents can have up to date information about the Center and it's activities.
.Fri, 6/22/07 7:43 PMnone
.Fri, 6/22/07 7:50 PMget rid of the music
.Fri, 6/22/07 7:50 PMThought the site was well put together and easy to navigate
.Fri, 6/22/07 7:51 PMMake sure it is functioning properly before going live.
.Fri, 6/22/07 7:52 PMnot at this time
.Fri, 6/22/07 7:53 PMhave search on home page: VERY IMPORTANT List what is in each "box" on home page when scrolling over each section (future students and family, etc.) I do not like the fact that you need to figure out which is the right section to use, only by going to it: at least with the existing site, a list does come up when you scroll over each area on the home page.
.Fri, 6/22/07 7:55 PMNO
.Fri, 6/22/07 8:00 PMno
.Fri, 6/22/07 8:03 PMWhy do I need a pass word?
.Fri, 6/22/07 8:13 PMNo, not at this time.
.Fri, 6/22/07 8:25 PMI like the site the only thing I personally would change is the color, I like to old color better.
.Fri, 6/22/07 8:26 PMI think the dorms should have a better representation of them. For example - the map/legend should be more user friendly and when you see where a waterfront house is - you should be able to click on it - and see an up to date picture of the house/dorm, and maybe as you click on it - it shows different angles of it - and/or examples of rooms/common areas/ bathrooms/etc. That was immediately what I tried to do and find - was curious to see if they had changed at all - and to see if I could spot where my old room was. Maybe the site makes it possible for you to do that already - but if it did, I couldn't figure it out - so maybe they should make that a little easier. Other than that - I liked the site immensely. The other possible change is to have a more life-like picture as the main wallpaper background - that would be so cool - to see the actual grounds - up close - maybe have then change according to the seasons? I don't know - I loved it there - loved that you could see the water from there - have not moved away from the water ever since!!!! I live in Boston now!
.Fri, 6/22/07 8:26 PMnone
.Fri, 6/22/07 8:30 PMNo
.Fri, 6/22/07 8:36 PMIt is an excellent site. Other colleges would benefit from checking this out. Bob
.Fri, 6/22/07 9:12 PMDon't move the words to major segments when I mouse over the segment.
.Fri, 6/22/07 9:34 PMSome sections of copy are too long for one page, should be broken up into chunks for several pages of easier reading with subheads. Pictures and graphics are very attactive.
.Fri, 6/22/07 9:38 PMOnce you move off the home page, there is a lot of text to search through. I realize you are trying to provide as much information, through links, but it almost seems to be "too much text."
.Fri, 6/22/07 10:33 PMnone
.Fri, 6/22/07 11:12 PMno
.Sat, 6/23/07 12:06 AMNot sure yet, as you stated it is still being constructed
.Sat, 6/23/07 12:48 AMno
.Sat, 6/23/07 12:56 AMFrequent Updates on Campus News and Events as well as photos.
.Sat, 6/23/07 1:03 AMDesign looks very good so far. Colorful, eye catching. Since sites are not complete yet, its hard to answer...
.Sat, 6/23/07 1:04 AMNo
.Sat, 6/23/07 1:19 AMNone at the moment!
.Sat, 6/23/07 2:00 AMno
.Sat, 6/23/07 2:15 AMNot qualified to answer.
.Sat, 6/23/07 2:27 AMNone at this time
.Sat, 6/23/07 2:37 AMGreat Web site. Only change would be the sounds at the welcome page of waves crashing. Although this is "cute" it gets annoying.
.Sat, 6/23/07 3:18 AMNo changes at this time.
.Sat, 6/23/07 3:27 AMYes. Do not use the close up of the face with the sunglasses. Maybe sunglasses on a beach towel with the same images would be better. The view of the face is much too close...pores and all.
.Sat, 6/23/07 3:52 AMI couldn't log on to the alumni section
.Sat, 6/23/07 5:13 AMno
.Sat, 6/23/07 6:29 AMto soon to tell......
.Sat, 6/23/07 11:41 AMNo, not at this time.
.Sat, 6/23/07 12:02 PMnot enough information yet to know
.Sat, 6/23/07 1:31 PMI couldn't log on... also people may have moved & not updated your records.. not sure if I would use "city" as the initial password. Not sure if I would use first/last name as initial logon (grad yr is good)... your records might be misspelled, or person goes by nickname (I tried several different ways). I'd go with initial logon as lastname, grad yr, then have a few options (name list) if more than one "smith,1988" for example.
.Sat, 6/23/07 2:18 PMNone that I can think of at this time.
.Sat, 6/23/07 2:43 PMHome Page Return - The return to the Home Page should not be by itself as I couldn't find it initially. It should be at the top or bottom of the other links listed on the page.
.Sat, 6/23/07 3:00 PMCurrent scores and more athletics information.
.Sat, 6/23/07 3:34 PMno
.Sat, 6/23/07 3:56 PMNone.
.Sat, 6/23/07 4:08 PMit is still not easy to determine how to make a gift to the College- should be on the opening menu page
.Sat, 6/23/07 4:25 PMno
.Sat, 6/23/07 6:36 PMI will need to wait until everything is uploaded on the site in order to answer that question. I would like to see the "Thames Academy" information higher on the list, instead of at the bottom of the screen.
.Sat, 6/23/07 7:06 PMI think the site looks great
.Sat, 6/23/07 7:24 PM...not at this point,,,thank you
.Sat, 6/23/07 9:24 PMfor interested Student-Athletes......survey format.....why Mitchell College should consider the Student-Athletes for enrollment
.Sat, 6/23/07 9:43 PMhave a place where alumni can keep up to date on whats going on and when events are being planned to let us know in advance.
.Sat, 6/23/07 10:54 PMITS REALLY IMPORTANT TO ME TO FIND CLASSMATES SO ANY INFORMATION WOULD BE GREAT ON THE WEBSITES, EMAIL ADDRESS, PHONE NUMBERS
.Sat, 6/23/07 11:04 PMsee above
.Sat, 6/23/07 11:16 PMnona
.Sun, 6/24/07 1:04 AMWe did feel like the site was much better overall than the previous site. The continous scrolling info section is a little distracting while trying to read the text.
.Sun, 6/24/07 4:51 AMMaybe add a "then and now" type of section or "Mitchell throughtout the years". Maybe there is one that I didn't see but I think that would great.
.Sun, 6/24/07 5:42 AMno
.Sun, 6/24/07 12:39 PMNo
.Sun, 6/24/07 1:48 PMno
.Sun, 6/24/07 2:12 PMno
.Sun, 6/24/07 2:32 PMI'm pleased with the website currently
.Sun, 6/24/07 3:19 PMNo
.Sun, 6/24/07 3:24 PMno
.Sun, 6/24/07 4:03 PMIn addition to the above statement: activate a blog so students can communicate with current students. Include more student activities on the site; what do students do on campus? Talk about New London and what's happening in town. Students are more interested than ever in the surrounding area. Consider a virtual tour (sorry if I missed it); maybe a Quik time movie of campus. Reduce the verbage on the site, most people won't read it anyway. It's overwhelming when there is so much to look at--Students are used to scanning and clicking.
.Sun, 6/24/07 5:36 PMteachears able to post that day class information. Able to use text books via the website and up to date events.
.Sun, 6/24/07 11:20 PMSee above. I'm hoping the site is still under construction and the information will be available in the future.
.Sun, 6/24/07 11:47 PMNone at this point.
.Mon, 6/25/07 12:06 AM• Link to the community • Link to the town of New London • I hope we will be able to purchase Mitchell College memorabilia on line • Keep up the good work!
.Mon, 6/25/07 2:37 AMEverything is good at this time no changes needed right now.
.Mon, 6/25/07 10:23 AMInformation on how to be added to athe alumnus/a list
.Mon, 6/25/07 1:15 PMhome page looks a little too busy
.Mon, 6/25/07 2:13 PMNo - it looks very good.
.Mon, 6/25/07 3:02 PMi very much enjoyed the future student link. very vaulable information for a prospective new family.
.Mon, 6/25/07 4:36 PMNo, it's fine.
.Mon, 6/25/07 5:34 PMMore immediate updated athletic information on individuals and teams
.Mon, 6/25/07 8:36 PMNo
.Mon, 6/25/07 8:47 PMNo changes
.Mon, 6/25/07 8:52 PMnot at this time
.Mon, 6/25/07 10:35 PMNo.
.Tue, 6/26/07 1:00 AMno changes
.Tue, 6/26/07 11:12 AMWhen you click on a link, there is a large colored blank area above where the information is located. If this area were a little shorter the information could be seen without having to scroll down. I didn't realize the informaiton was there at first and was waiting when all I had to do was scroll down a little further. Just a minor thing I noticed
.Tue, 6/26/07 5:57 PMNot that I can think of
